Opening ceremony of Shukurbayli village

On May 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony of Shukurbayli village in the Jabrayil district.

Shukurbayli village is located in the administrative territorial unit of the same name in the Jabrayil district, 18 kilometers southeast of the district center on a plain. The village was liberated from occupation by the heroic Azerbaijani Army during the Patriotic War in 2020. President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the village in 2023.

The Head of State attended the opening of a school building for 360 students built in the village. As in the newly commissioned schools in our other liberated territories, comprehensive facilities have been created for both teachers and students at this educational institution. The school is equipped with specialized classrooms and laboratories for physics, chemistry, and biology, as well as computer, technology, and basic military training classes to ensure a high standard of education. In addition, the school has a library, assembly hall, gym, and a cafeteria at the disposal of teachers and students. Football and basketball courts have also been built on the school grounds.
