Visit to the Shusha branch of the National Carpet Museum

On September 16, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the Shusha branch of the National Carpet Museum.

The 19th-century building had fallen into disrepair during the occupation and was restored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2021. The museum currently exhibits 115 items, including carpets and carpet products, national costumes, archaeological materials, and jewelry pieces from the 18th–20th centuries.
