Visit to the Mehmandarovs’ Estate Complex in Shusha

On July 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow visited the Mehmandarovs’estate complex in Shusha.

The guest was briefed on the complex, which consists of large and small residential buildings, a family mosque, and a spring, built in the 18th century. This example of rich architectural heritage has been restored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. As a result of restoration works that began in 2021, the family mosque, spring, and residential buildings have been returned to their original appearance. A museum exhibition titled “The house of a Karabakh Nobleman” has also been set up within the complex, featuring over 150 antique items from the 19th–20th centuries.
