Visit to Hadrut settlement
On September 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Hadrut settlement of the Khojavend district.
After the settlement was liberated from Armenian occupation during the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020, large-scale reconstruction and redevelopment projects were implemented there. The Hadrut junction substation and Digital Control Center, a new military unit, and the 12.5-kilometer-long Fuzuli–Hadrut highway were commissioned, a transformer station was built, existing power lines were restored, eight water reservoirs were repaired, and new water, sewage, and gas pipelines were laid, repair works were also carried out on internal roads. Essential social infrastructure, including a hotel, trade, and public catering facilities, was established in the settlement. Redevelopment and reconstruction efforts are currently ongoing.
In total, there are 541 houses in Hadrut, of which 462 are uninhabitable and 79 are partially usable. Ten of these houses are already ready for occupancy. All partially usable houses will be restored by the end of the year. At present, 10 families, a total of 41 people, have returned to their ancestral home in Hadrut.
As part of the visit, the Head of State also visited the home of Zahid Mustafayev.
