Visit to Girmizi Bazar settlement

On September 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Girmizi Bazar settlement of the Khojavend district.

In the Girmizi Bazar settlement, which came under Azerbaijan’s control as a result of the anti-terror operation conducted by our Armed Forces in 2023, electricity and gas lines, as well as an artesian well have been restored. The meter installation process started, two transformers have been installed, three water reservoirs have been repaired, and more than 11 kilometers of natural gas pipeline have been laid. Currently, public and household facilities, as well as a production workshop are operational in the Girmizi Bazar settlement.

There are 300 individual houses in the settlement, 71 of which are uninhabitable and 229 are partially usable. Ten houses are ready for use, and 10 families (39 people) have been resettled there. By the end of 2025, a total of 217 houses will be restored, followed by 12 more in 2026.

As part of the visit, the head of state visited the home of Islam Dadashov, who has relocated to the settlement, and had a conversation with his family members.
