Visit to Badara village

On September 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Badara village in the Khojaly district.

The village, which came under Azerbaijan’s control following the counter-terrorism operation carried out by our Armed Forces in September 2023, has seen the implementation of several social infrastructure projects. A park and a flag square have been established, and local roads have been asphalted. Existing electricity and gas lines have been restored, a transformer was installed, metering systems were introduced, a new gas pipeline was laid, and poles for communication lines were erected. The installation of communication cables is currently underway.

The village has a total of 313 individual houses, of which 55 are uninhabitable and 258 are partially habitable. So far, 15 houses have been restored, and 14 families (55 people) have returned to the village. Plans are in place to restore 115 houses by the end of this year and an additional 128 houses next year.

During the visit, the Head of State visited the home of Barat Novruzov, who has relocated to the village, and had a conversation with the family members.
