Unveiling of the Demir Yumruq Street Plaque in Shusha

On May 10, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the unveiling ceremony of the Demir Yumruq (Iron Fist) Street plaque in Shusha. During the event, the head of state unveiled the plaque for Demir Yumruq Street.

Named in honor of the Iron Fist, which symbolizes Azerbaijan’s historic victory in the Patriotic War and the unwavering unity of its people, this street covers the central parts of the city. Demir Yumruq Street is 2,473 meters long, with a width varying between 10 and 15 meters according to the roadbed.
