The Exhibition “Again, in the Native Land: Pearls of Karabakh Art”

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the exhibition “Again, in the native land: Pearls of Karabakh art” on August 30, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation within the framework of the Vagif’s Poetry Days in Shusha.

Pile and lint-free carpets, carpet products, national embroidery and costumes, and art samples of metalwork were displayed at the exhibition presented by the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum in the Carpet Gallery in Shusha. The carpet samples included in the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan collection were also displayed at the exhibition. Most of these exhibits, re-exhibited in their native land, had been brought to Baku from the Shusha branch of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum during the First Karabakh War. It was possible to see samples of Karabakh carpets at the exhibition related to different regions, which have been highly valued for centuries and are among the unique exhibits of foreign museums and personal collections.
