Review of reconstruction progress in the village of Chapar
On January 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev reviewed reconstruction and development works undertaken in the village of Chapar, Aghdara district.
Chapar village is located within the Imarat Garvand rural administrative unit of the Aghdara district, on the southeastern slopes of the Karabakh mountain range. The village is home to historical architectural monuments: a fortress and a temple. Chapar village was liberated from occupation as a result of the anti-terror operations carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in 2023.
There are 104 individual houses in Chapar village. Of these, 41 are unfit for use, while 63 are partially usable. Forty houses are already ready for occupancy. Restoration of an additional 23 houses is planned within the year. Initially, 26 families (96 people) have returned to the village.
Significant work has been carried out to address social infrastructure needs in the village. Three existing transformers and power lines have been restored, new electricity, gas, and communication lines have been laid, a water supply network has been established, and water reservoirs have been rehabilitated. Nearly 6 kilometers of internal village roads have been reconstructed. A newly established park in the village will also be made available for residents’ use.
As part of the visit, President Ilham Aliyev visited the family of Kamala Dadashova, who has relocated to the village, and inquired about their living conditions.
