Restoration of the busts to their historical locations in Shusha

On January 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva visited the city of Shusha and attended the ceremony marking the restoration and reinstallation of the busts of Bulbul, Khurshidbanu Natavan, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli to their original locations.

As a result of Armenia’s occupation of Azerbaijani territories, including the city of Shusha, the historical and cultural heritage of our country suffered severe damage, a number of monuments and house-museums were destroyed, and the busts of Khurshidbanu Natavan, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, and Bulbul were subjected to acts of vandalism. These bullet-riddled busts have gone down in history as living proof of Armenian atrocity.
