Reception of the representative of the European Union by President Ilham Aliyev

On March 6, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Toivo Klaar, the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus. During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the peace agreement negotiation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The head of state fondly recalled his meeting with President of the European Council Charles Michel during the Munich Security Conference and emphasized that Azerbaijan remains committed to the Brussels peace agenda. Toivo Klaar, in turn, noted the productive meeting between President Ilham Aliyev and the President of the European Council in Munich, and stated that the European Union would continue to contribute to the normalization process of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
