Reception of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany by President Ilham Aliyev

On November 4, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Annalena Baerbock, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany. During the meeting, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany expressed her country’s support for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the signing of a peace agreement, and the Brussels platform facilitated by the European Union. She also stated that Germany is ready to help to eliminate the humanitarian mine problem that Azerbaijan is facing.

President Ilham Aliyev reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s support for regional cooperation among the South Caucasus countries, noting that such cooperation had been impossible until now due to Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that, as a result of local anti-terrorism measures, Azerbaijan has restored its sovereignty and continues to support the normalization of relations with Armenia, the signing of a peace agreement, and the regional peace agenda.
