Raising the Azerbaijani Flag in the Askeran settlement of the Khojaly district

On October 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev raised the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Askeran settlement of the Khojaly district.

Subsequently, the head of state inspected the area of the settlement. The Askeran settlement was occupied by the armed forces of Armenia in 1992. The settlement was cleared of separatists as a result of local counter-terrorism measures carried out by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh on September 19–20, 2023.
