Raising the Azerbaijani Flag in Khojavend

On October 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev raised the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khojavend. Subsequently, the head of state inspected the area of the city.

The city of Khojavend was occupied by the armed forces of Armenia on October 2, 1992. The city was cleared of separatists as a result of local counter-terrorism measures carried out by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh on September 19–20, 2023.
