President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Turshsu settlement in the Shusha district

On December 22, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Turshsu settlement in Shusha district and inspected the area.

Turshsu settlement is located approximately 17 kilometers from Shusha city, alongside the Shusha–Lachin road. Before the occupation, Turshsu settlement was the second most densely populated settlement by Azerbaijanis after Shusha city in the Shusha district. The settlement was occupied on May 15, 1992, and was cleared of separatists as a result of the counter-terrorism measures conducted by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh on September 19–20, 2023. Currently, there are 353 families – totaling 1,403 people – registered in the Turshsu settlement.
