President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva’s visit to the Aghdam district

During their visit to the Aghdam district, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the 110/35/10 kV Aghdam junction substation, constructed by Azerenergy Open Joint Stock Company. During the inauguration President Ilham Aliyev activated the substation.

The 110/35/10 kV Aghdam junction substation was constructed by Azerenergy in the area of the Shelli village, located on the border between Aghdam and Khojali districts. A 110 kV double-circuit transmission line with a 24-core fiber optic cable line were installed in the lightning rod above this line at a distance of 10 kilometers from the Aghdam-1 substation to the Aghdam junction substation.

At the Aghdam junction substation, a 110 kV open distribution facility has been established and switching of circuit breakers, isolators, and other technical equipment, as well as the management of assets, processes, resources, and urgent fault rectification, and automatic implementation of other operations through software is ensured. The newly constructed control center of the substation houses 35 kV and 10 kV digital closed distribution units. Additionally, the center is equipped with central fault-tolerant automation, microprocessor-based relay protection, automation and control panels, and both AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) equipment. A modern micro SCADA system has been installed at the substation, synchronized with Azerenergy’s central SCADA system.
