Opening of the Gorchu substation

On May 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, during his visit to the Lachin district, participated in the inauguration of the 110/35/10 kW Gorchu substation owned by the AzerEnergy Open Joint Stock Company. During the inauguration, the head of state activated the substation.

Taking into account future development, a 110-kW open distribution facility has been established and a Digital Control Center has been constructed at the site. The substation is fully automated, connected to the remotely controlled SCADA dispatcher management system, and integrated with 35 and 10 kW closed distribution facilities. Equipped with modern equipment, the new substation houses two new transformers, each with a capacity of 25 MWA. In the near future, a 110 kW double-circuit transmission line will be extended from the Gorchu substation to the Lachin city substation, completing the circular power supply of the liberated territories.
