Inauguration ceremony of the Shukurbayli substation
On June 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the reconstructed 110/35/10 kV Shukurbayli substation via a remotely controlled SCADA dispatching system.
The Shukurbayli substation has been fully rebuilt and expanded to connect a large portion of the liberated territories to Azerbaijan’s unified energy system. For this purpose, in addition to increasing the capacity of the substation, the 110-kV open distribution device was dismantled and rebuilt in a more modern form. A control center equipped with new completed protection and automation systems, as well as a local micro-SCADA system, has been established, ensuring the full digitalization of the substation’s operation.
A 110 kV transmission line, 51 kilometers in length, was constructed from the Imishli substation to Shukurbayli. Additionally, a double-circuit 75-kilometer-long 110 kV line was built from Shukurbayli to Shusha, connecting it to the newly constructed 110 kV substation in the city of Fuzuli. In parallel, double-circuit 110 kV high-voltage transmission lines are being laid from Shukurbayli to new 110/35/10 kV substations under construction in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts.
