Opening ceremony of the recreational park in the Sugovushan settlement of the Tartar district

On October 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of a recreation park in Sugovushan settlement during his visit to the Tartar district.

Built in the 1970s on the initiative of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the park created around the Sugovushan reservoir has coastal walking paths, seats, gazebos, an entertainment area for children, and sports facilities installed for the efficient organization of the public’s leisure time. The park, which has an area of ​​7.5 hectares, also has a tourist information center, a cafe, a floating bridge, and a parking lot for vehicles that will serve tourists. Extensive greening works have been done here, about 5 thousand trees and bushes have been planted. The foundation of Sugovushan recreation park was laid on March 20, 2022 with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
