Opening ceremony of the Lachin Electricity Network Digital Control Center

On May 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the Electricity Network Digital Control Center in the city of Lachin.

The new center is designed to ensure the uninterrupted and stable supply of electricity to residential complexes, industrial and social infrastructure facilities, agricultural areas, and tourism sites in Lachin city. The Digital Control Center is an innovative technological platform that enables the collection and analysis of data on the state of the power grid, as well as the automatic control of equipment. The center is equipped with two transformers, each with a capacity of 1600 kVA, and enclosed distribution units of 35 kV and 0.4 kV. Electricity supply is provided via 4.8-kilometer-long double-circuit power transmission lines connected to the Lachin substation.

The modern equipment installed here not only minimizes transmission losses and operational costs but also ensures high precision in technological measurements and the automation of operations. Consumers are provided with the ability to receive online notifications in advance regarding planned power outages. The center also automatically manages the integration of renewable (“green”) energy sources into the grid, preventing potential interruptions in energy supply. In a closed-type substation, management is carried out remotely, eliminating the need for a permanent on-site workforce.
