Opening ceremony of the Kurmangazy Children’s Creativity Center

On March 12, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev participated in the opening ceremony of the Kurmangazy Children’s Creativity Center in the city of Fuzuli. During the event, the heads of state met with Azerbaijani cultural and art figures, residents of Fuzuli city, and children who will study at the Kurmangazy Children’s Creativity Center. Following the meeting, the presidents cut the ribbon, symbolizing the official opening of the center. After taking commemorative photos, the presidents toured the center to familiarize themselves with the facilities.

The Kurmangazy Children’s Creativity Center, constructed on the initiative of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is a gift from the fraternal Kazakh people to the people of Azerbaijan. The center, foundation of which was laid in March 2023, was built on a 1.5-hectare area. The construction area of the facility is 2,700 square meters. In a two-story building, all conditions have been created for 600 children to receive extracurricular education in several shifts. The center includes a lecture hall, chess and culinary classes, an art and sculpture studio, a choreography and sports hall, a recording room, music and vocal classes, photo and video editing, web design and robotics rooms, an auditorium, and a 3D modeling class. Special attention will be given to IT startups and Azerbaijan’s national culture, including the art of carpet weaving. The project was designed and implemented by the “BI Group” company.
