Opening ceremony of the Khidirli village secondary school named after Aykol Manas
On July 3, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov inaugurated the Khidirli village secondary school named after Aykol Manas in the Aghdam district.
The presidents also viewed a yurta installed in the schoolyard. Easily assembled and dismantled as a mobile dwelling, the yurta is traditionally designed for a nomadic lifestyle. Today, yurta tourism is being developed by many Turkic peoples as a cultural attraction in Central Asia.
The heads of states got acquainted with the conditions created at the school. The foundation stone of the 528-student secondary school was laid in April 2024 by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. The school complex consists of five blocks, including a sports hall block. School area occupies 2.7 hectares and houses 21 classrooms, 2 preschool preparation rooms, 2 computer labs, 2 technology rooms, 1 military training room, 3 laboratories, a library, a sports hall, an auditorium, a cafeteria, and other facilities. The material and technical base of the educational institution creates comprehensive conditions for students to acquire knowledge at a high level. The school grounds include a large sports field with a running track, as well as recreational and play areas designed to serve both students and the local community.
