Opening ceremony of the Istisu mineral water plant

On September 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of the Istisu mineral water plant in the Kalbajar district and launched the facility.

After a 30-year break, the Istisu mineral water plant is once again offering its namesake water sourced from a thermal spring in Kalbajar long known for its exceptional quality and health benefits to consumers. The foundation of the Istisu mineral water plant was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on June 26, 2022, and construction was fully completed in 2024.

Istisu mineral water plant is equipped with modern automated bottling lines and robotic warehouse management systems. The production lines were supplied and installed by the German company Krones. Thanks to the application of the latest technologies, it has been possible to produce high-quality mineral water at the plant, while also preserving the natural properties of the water. The annual production capacity of the Istisu plant exceeds 100 million glass bottles. Operating in a two-shift schedule, the facility will employ approximately 100 people. Most of the employees are residents of the Kalbajar and Lachin districts.
