Opening ceremony of the Gamishli small hydroelectric power station

On May 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony of the Gamishli small hydroelectric power station in the Kalbajar district. During the ceremony, the President activated the Gamishli small hydroelectric power station.

The Gamishli small hydroelectric power station, completely rebuilt by AzerEnergy, has a capacity of 6.3 megawatts. A 110-kilovolt substation was created at the Gamishli station, which consists of two hydro units. The station is equipped with a centralized SCADA system full integrated into the power grid that allows remote management. The Gamishli station is expected to produce 18.5 million kWh of environmentally friendly green hydroelectric energy annually.
