President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the opening of the first residential complex in Shusha and met with the first residents returning to the city.
In the initial phase, 88 people from 20 families were moved to the first residential complex according to the resettlement schedule. The complex, which covers an area of approximately 8 hectares, consists of 23 buildings. The foundation for the complex was laid on August 29, 2021. It comprises 450 apartments, including 28 one-room, 195 two-room, 190 three-room, 30 four-room, and 7 five-room units.
The head of state and the First Lady inspected the facilities within the complex and the apartments and met with the first families who had moved to Shusha. During the meeting, the head of state warmly congratulated the Shusha residents on this historic occasion. Later, at the key handover ceremony, the head of state and the First Lady personally presented the keys to the new residents.
