Opening ceremony of the first phase of the Horovlu village
On October 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the first phase of the Horovlu village in the Jabrayil district.
334 private houses have been built in the village of Horovlu, which has a total area of 248 hectares. The houses, consisting of 2, 3, 4, and 5 rooms, are equipped with modern communication networks — water, electricity, gas, solar panels, and high-speed internet. The façades of the houses feature ornaments inspired by Karabakh carpets.
In the first phase, construction was completed on an area of 94 hectares, including 334 individual houses, a school building for 624 students, a kindergarten and nursery for 220 children, a two-story administrative building, a market complex, multifunctional service facilities, a medical center, and a sports and wellness center.
In the village, Asger, Shighi, Orta, Gulgasim, and Khalifa karez wells, which had been historically used but were destroyed during the occupation, have been restored. A portion of the village’s water supply will be provided through these karez wells.
A park complex covering 4.4 hectares has also been built in Horovlu village. It includes a children’s play area, sports ground, basketball court, tabletop game zone, and gazebos. Pedestrian paths have been laid from the flag square to the market complex. The internal village roads have been asphalted. Additionally, olive, plane, and Eldar pine trees have been planted across 3.1 hectares of green space.
