Opening ceremony of the first phase of Sarijali village

On March 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony of the first phase of Sarijali village in the Aghdam district.

Located 6 kilometers from the center of Aghdam city, the foundation of this village was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on October 4, 2022. Sarijali village is planned to accommodate 1,873 people (425 families). The total projected area covers more than 123 hectares. In total, the construction of 425 individual houses is planned in two phases.

Under the first phase, the relocation of 895 people (203 families) is planned. So far, 203 individual houses have been built. The houses consist of two, three, four, and five rooms. Taking into account the future population of the resettled residents, a land plot of 54 hectares has been allocated for the first phase of the village’s construction. All necessary conditions have been created here to ensure employment for the population, and various educational, economic, social, and household facilities, as well as club-community and cultural centers, have been built. Social issues have also been addressed. Internal roads, electricity, communication, and water lines have been installed, and gas supply has been provided.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the conditions created in the newly built individual houses in Sarijali village. The Head of State and the First Lady met with the residents moving into their new homes, handed over the keys, and conversed with the villagers.
