Opening ceremony of the Dashalti Village Mosque

On May 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony of the Dashalti village mosque in the Shusha district.

The foundation of the Dashalti village mosque was laid in November 2021 by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The mosque, located in the center of the village, was built in the national architectural style. The two-minaret mosque was built in accordance with the traditions of the Karabakh architectural school in terms of its overall architectural composition, planning, artistic and decorative features.

The 22.5-meter-high minarets were designed based on the form of the minarets of the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque. The two-story mosque can accommodate more than 150 worshippers at the same time.
