Opening ceremony of the Alkhasli small hydroelectric power station

On August 25, during their visit to the Lachin district, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony of the Alkhasli small hydroelectric power station of Azerenergy Open Joint Stock Company in the Lachin district. During the opening, the President activated the hydroelectric power station.

Located on the Hochaz River, the largest tributary of the Hakari River in Lachin, the 6-megawatt Alkhasli hydroelectric power station, completely destroyed by Armenians, has been fully rebuilt following President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions.

As part of the reconstruction project of the Alchasli small hydroelectric power station, the main intake structure, a 4.3-kilometer-long diversion pipe, and the machine hall have been rebuilt. The station is equipped with European-made two modern eco-turbines with green certification, generators, as well as control and automation panels. To integrate the station into the energy system, an 8-kilometer-long 10 kV power line and optical cable lines have been laid to the 110/10 kV substation built at the Mishni hydroelectric power station. With full integration into the energy system, the Alchasli hydroelectric power station, connected to a centralized SCADA system that allows remote control, will produce more than 17 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
