Opening ceremony of the Aghdam Mugham Center

On May 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the opening ceremony of the Aghdam Mugham Center.

The foundation of the Aghdam Mugham Center was laid in May 2023 by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The center includes a café, a cinema hall, a library, and two dance halls. The 474-seat concert hall provides comprehensive facilities for organizing various cultural events, including mugham concerts. Additionally, the center features 15 classrooms, an exhibition hall, a conference room, and other spaces. An open-air amphitheater with a seating capacity of 615 has also been built on the center’s premises.

The Head of State, who delivered a speech at the event, together with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, attended a concert program dedicated to the opening of the Aghdam Mugham Center.
