Opening Ceremony of Secondary School No. 1 named after Mirzo Ulugbek in Fuzuli

On August 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and his wife Ziroatchon Mirziyoyeva participated in the opening ceremony of secondary school No. 1 named after Mirzo Ulugbek in Fuzuli.

The school built in Fuzuli as a gift by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on behalf of the Uzbek people had a capacity of 960 students. The construction, which began last year, was carried out with high quality. The school building, located on a three-hectare area, consists of two floors and a basement. The facilities include 40 classrooms, 6 laboratories, 2 computer rooms, 5 multifunctional teaching rooms, a 500-seat auditorium, a gym, a 320-seat cafeteria, and a library. The school grounds feature a football field, resting and event areas, running tracks, gazebos, a security checkpoint, a boiler house, water tanks, and a transformer substation. The construction work was completed with high standards.

The heads of state and first ladies met and talked with the students who will start studying at this school in the new school year and the teachers who will work here, and then cut the ribbon marking the symbolic opening of the school.
