Opening ceremony of academic building of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Garabagh University

On September 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of academic building of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Garabagh University in the city of Khankendi.          

The faculty building is equipped with modern facilities that meet contemporary standards. The building includes 10 classrooms, 9 auditoriums, 3 laboratories, offices for staff and examinations, relaxation areas, a library, and briefing rooms. It will also house microbiology and histology laboratories, a cell culture room, and other administrative offices. The faculty will offer six-year medical and four-year nursing programs developed jointly by local and international experts, based on global best practices. The modern education model to be implemented here will enable students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical skills at the Karabakh University Clinic.

Students will also be provided with extensive opportunities to conduct research and develop leadership skills. One of the distinctive features of the faculty is the inclusion of an art program as an elective subject in the curriculum. The study of art plays an important role in enhancing students’ self-expression, teamwork, and communication skills.
