Military parade in Khankendi dedicated to the third anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War

On November 8, a military parade dedicated to the third anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War was held in the city of Khankendi.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their son Heydar Aliyev attended the parade. Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov reported to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

After the head of state greeted the personnel, a moment of silence was observed in memory of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. After the military orchestra played the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President addressed the parade, congratulating the entire Azerbaijani nation on Victory Day. After the speech of the President of Azerbaijan, the military parade, which began with the ceremonial march of the Armed Forces’ parade units accompanied by the military orchestra, concluded with the performance of the Victory March.
