Meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan in Khankendi

On July 4, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Khankendi.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan praised the high-level organization of the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s contribution to strengthening the organization.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed over the development of the brotherly Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations, the trilateral Azerbaijan–Türkiye–Pakistan meeting held in Lachin, and the reconstruction work in Karabakh. The successful progress of bilateral relations in political, economic, energy, and other areas was emphasized.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s participation in the Summit and recalled with satisfaction the Prime Minister’s visit to Lachin and the discussions held in a trilateral format. The meeting also involved exchanges of views on cooperation within international organizations and regional issues.
