Meeting between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the European Council Charles Michel and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan

A joint meeting between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan was held on December 14 in Brussels.

The issue of demining the liberated territories of Azerbaijan was put on the agenda, and the readiness of the European Union to provide technical assistance to Azerbaijan in this course was stated at the meeting.

Both sides agreed on establishing a temporary working group regarding the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. At the same time, the issue of opening communication and transport lines was widely discussed. The Armenian side has confirmed its obligation to build a railway line through its territory. It was reported that the Armenian side would start the railway construction soon. Here, it was agreed that custom issues and border control should be provided based on mutual principles.
