Inspection of the area of the Shushakend village in the Khojali district

On December 20, during their visit to the Khojali district, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva inspected the area of the ancient Shushakend village.

Shushakend village was occupied by Armenian armed forces in 1992. The village was cleared of separatists following local counter-terrorism measures conducted by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh on September 19–20, 2023.
