Inspection of Sakhsi spring in the Shusha district

On December 22, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Sakhsi spring in the Shusha district.

The Sakhsi spring is located approximately 5 kilometers from the northwest of Shusha city, along the Shusha–Lachin road. Known for its high-quality water, the spring has always been a focal point for the residents of Shusha and visitors to the city. The water that used to seep from the rock was later channeled into a metal pipe and is constantly flowing. According to some sources, the spring was named Sakhsi (Pottery) because before being channeled into the metal pipe, the water was filtered through an ancient earthenware pipe and this name has been preserved to the present day.
