Inauguration of the Victory Road

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the Victory Road in the Fuzuli district on November 7. President Ilham Aliyev unveiled the Victory Road plaque.

The construction of the highway, which was built to perpetuate the path used by our Glorious Army while liberating Shusha, the cultural capital of our country, from the hateful enemy and named “Victory Road” by the Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, was carried out under the constant supervision of the head of our state. Starting from the Hajigabul-Minjivan-Zangazur corridor highway, the 101-kilometer-long Victory Road extends to the city of Shusha, the crown of Karabakh. Victory Road, built by passing through the territory of Fuzuli, Khojavand, Khojaly, and Shusha regions, covers dozens of settlements in these regions, including the cities of Fuzuli and Shusha.
