Inauguration of the new residential complex in Sugovushan and key handover ceremony

On March 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed residential complex in the village of Sugovushan, Aghdara district and handed over the keys to the new apartments to the villagers moving in.

A total of 180 families (591 people) were registered for relocation to the village. The complex, built on an area of 2.3 hectares, consists of five residential buildings, each five stories high. These buildings have a total of 190 one, two, three, and four-room apartments. The village’s secondary school building, with a capacity of 144 students and previously in unusable condition, has undergone major renovations. Additionally, the Sugovushan-1 and Sugovushan-2 small hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 7.8 megawatts have been restored and put into operation. A “recreation complex project” has been implemented in Sugovushan. Major renovations were carried out on 16 cottages and a two-story hotel building within the 6-hectare complex.

The Head of State met and spoke with the residents, and commemorative photos were taken.
