Inauguration of the “Gubadli” Substation

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the system-important 110/35/10 kV “Gubadli” substation on October 25. During the ceremony, the head of state launched the substation.

In parallel with the construction of the substation, in order to connect Gubadli to the general energy system of Azerbaijan and supply the region with sustainable electricity, double-circuit 110 kV high-voltage powers “Gubadli-1”, “Gubadli-2” transmission lines are constructed at a distance of 76 kilometers from the “Shukurbeyli” substation in Fuzuli to the “Jabrayil” substation. While designing a new line with a power transmission capacity of 150-160 MW, a necessary system was created for the prevention and localization of the typical climate parameters for the region – freezing, maximum wind speed, snow thickness, pollution, and other factors, including possible accidents. A fiber optic cable has been laid along the newly built line for lightning protection, information exchange between substations, and the Internet. Thus, by this, not only an electric line but also a high-speed internet line with the highest speed was laid to Gubadli.
