Inauguration of the Aghdam Regional Digital Control Center and Training-Education Complex

On February 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the Aghdam Regional Digital Control Center and Training-Education Complex of Azerishiq Open Joint Stock Company. The Head of State launched the Regional Digital Control Center.

This center, the foundation of which was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on May 2, 2023, has been constructed to a high standard. The center consists of two floors. On the first floor, there are two 35/0.4 kilovolt power transformers with a capacity of 2500 kVA each, as well as 35 and 0.4 kilovolt indoor distribution installations, and the second-floor houses control, technical, and auxiliary rooms. A 35-kilovolt overhead cable line was laid from the 110/35/10 kilovolt Aghdam-2 substation to supply electricity to the Regional Digital Management Center.

The Training-Education Complex is fully equipped to host international events. The facility will offer training for qualified personnel in the field of electric power with the participation of both local and foreign trainers, and it will cover the application and operation of renewable energy sources, acquisition of professional skills, hands-on training under real working conditions, and skills competitions. The training hall in the complex is designed to visually present the future development and advantages of a modern 35/0.4 kilovolt network model, fiber optic cables of 35 and 0.4 kilovolts, and composite fiberglass poles.

A model demonstrating the application of green energy sources (solar and wind power systems) in the liberated territories has also been developed within the complex. The facility includes dedicated stands displaying components and equipment used in the power grid. Additionally, the complex features an electronic display corner and visual exhibits reflecting historical achievements in the power sector, modern metering devices (SMS, Smart, NFC meters), safety equipment, and management posters.
