Inauguration of Aghdam city secondary school No. 1

On July 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of Aghdam city secondary school No. 1, designed to accommodate 960 students.

The foundation of Aghdam city secondary school No. 1 was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on May 28, 2021. In February of this year, the Head of State and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the site to review the ongoing construction work.

The school building includes 43 classrooms, 16 administrative offices, and a STEAM center (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) consisting of 7 rooms, as well as physics, chemistry and biology laboratories equipped with modern technological equipment, computer and pre-conscription training rooms, a library, a museum, and a 352-seat cafeteria. Additionally, the school provides a 468-seat assembly hall for various events, two indoor sports halls, outdoor football and basketball courts for the use of teachers and students.
