Groundbreaking for the village of Zar in Kalbajar

On August 25, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the village of Zar, in the Kalbajar district. During the ceremony, the President laid the foundation stone for the village of Zar.

A total of 855 families are planned to settle in the village of Zar. Considering a 20-year perspective and subsequent development, over 243 hectares of land have been allocated for the establishment of the settlement. In the first phase, it is planned to build single-story individual houses to accommodate 547 families. Of the 547 houses to be constructed, 131 will be two-room, 289 will be three-room, 92 will be four-room, and 35 will be five-room homes. Additionally, a 528-seat school and a 100-seat kindergarten will be built in the village.
