Groundbreaking for the Aghdam city central park

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Aghdam city central park. During the ceremony, the head of state laid the foundation of Aghdam city center park.

According to the new master plan of Aghdam city, the park will cover an area of 5 hectares. The park’s design was prepared taking into account President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions and recommendations. The central park will be divided into four zones. The city square, botanical garden, lawn area, and woodland zones will be equipped to host cultural and public events. The park will also feature water playgrounds, tea houses, recreational and dining facilities, cultural and educational playgrounds, as well as spaces dedicated to education and health, and active play zones. All kinds of conditions will be created for those who want to relax and do sports in the Aghdam city center park, where various types of trees and decorative bushes will be planted.
