President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended a groundbreaking ceremony of the joint service center of KAMAZ OJSC and Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association in Jabrayil district on October 4. The foundation of the joint service center for trucks and agricultural machinery in the Karabakh region, a joint venture between the Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association and KamAZ OJSC, is of special importance. The project will be implemented jointly with KamAZ OJSC in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association and KamAZ OJSC within the business mission of Russian companies to Azerbaijan in July of this year.
The total area of the regional service center to be established in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park will be 1.5 hectares. The area will have a sales hall, financial services department, service bureau, manager departments, offices of repair zone masters and an office building for spare parts warehouse, service blocks for servicing trucks and agricultural machinery, repair shops, car wash, and parking. In addition to KamAZ, the center will provide technical services for other trucks and agricultural machinery, including tractors and combines. It is planned to create 36 new jobs here.
