On October 16, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of the sports complex in the city of Fuzuli. During the ceremony, the head of state laid the foundation of the complex.
According to the master plan, the complex, with a total area of 17 hectares, will include a universal hall with a 200-seat spectator stand for basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, and mini-football practices and competitions, as well as various sports tournaments. In addition, a swimming hall with a 100-seat spectator stand, wrestling, judo, boxing, karate training and gymnasiums will be created in the complex. The building will also have administrative offices, a café, storage rooms, and other technical areas. Furthermore, there will be sauna and massage rooms, rooms for referees, doctors, commentators, coaches, and other technical and auxiliary rooms.
