On May 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the village of Sarijalli in the Jabrayil district. The head of state laid the foundation for the Sarijalli village.
Sarijalli village in the Jabrayil district is bordered to the north by the newly constructed Ahmadbayli–Horadiz–Minjivan–Aghbend highway, to the northeast by the village of Shukurbayli, to the south and southeast by the Horadiz–Aghbend railway line, and to the southwest and west by the village of Soltanli.
According to the Master Plan, the total area of the village is 330 hectares. By 2040, it is planned to design 1,185 individual houses and several multi-story block buildings to accommodate 4,740 residents. In line with the “First State Program on the Great Return” covering the period until 2026, the area designed for the first phase spans 104 hectares. During this phase, 242 individual houses will be built to relocate 1,016 residents to the village.
