Groundbreaking ceremony for the Engineering Faculty building of Garabakh University

On December 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the Engineering Faculty building of Garabakh University in the city of Khankendi.

The Engineering Faculty of Garabakh University is one of the main academic structural units aimed at training innovative and practice-oriented engineering professionals who meet modern technological challenges. The faculty currently employs 19 academic staff, administrative and technical personnel. A total of 314 students are studying at the faculty.

At the undergraduate level, the faculty offers training in seven specialties, including electrical and electronics engineering, civil engineering, mechatronics and robotics, logistics and transport technologies, computer engineering, data analytics, and mathematics. The opening of new specialties in the field of engineering is planned for the future.

The new building is planned to be constructed in accordance with modern standards and put into operation within a short period of time. The academic building will be equipped with classrooms, laboratories, a library, research and innovation spaces designed to ensure high-quality training, develop students’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and expand their innovative activities.
