Groundbreaking ceremony for new enterprises in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park

On October 3, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for new enterprises in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park in the Jabrayil district.

The Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park was established under the management of the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 4, 2021. As the main activity of the industrial park, it is planned to establish a logistics and trade center, warehouse complexes, wholesale and retail facilities, a truck park, customs, gas stations, and repair stations for automobiles and other equipment.

Spanning an area of 200 hectares, the industrial park currently hosts 13 resident and 1 non-resident company. In total, investors plan to allocate 133.8 million manats to the park, creating over 2,000 jobs. So far, residents have already invested over 20 million manats, resulting in the creation of more than 40 permanent jobs. Residents will manufacture fibro-concrete and polystyrene-concrete blocks, dry construction additives, paving stones, various adhesive tapes, footwear, disinfectants, liquid detergents, bleaching solutions, and other products in the industrial park, construct a 40-room hotel and a 100-seat restaurant, and build a logistics center.
