Groundbreaking ceremony for internal road-street network of Fuzuli

On May 5, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the internal road-street network of Fuzuli city. During the ceremony, President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation for the internal road-street network of Fuzuli city.

The total length of the city’s internal roads is planned to exceed 87 kilometers. In the initial phase, construction is planned for 18.5 kilometers of roads. Primary urban avenues will have a width of 44 meters, while secondary urban avenues will be 34 meters wide, urban streets and roads will have a width of 24 meters, and local streets and roads will be 20 meters wide. The internal roads of the city will include pedestrian pathways, green zones, bicycle lanes, and special lanes for public transportation. A four-lane layout is planned for avenues, while streets and roads will have dual lanes. During the construction of internal roads, infrastructure such as electric, gas, water, telecommunications, sewage, and stormwater drainage lines will be installed beneath pedestrian crossings.
